Following Birds, Uniting Voices: A Young Advocate’s COP Appeal

2026 年 2 月 26 日

Danielle Lam, a secondary student, was profoundly inspired by her fellow student, climate change influencer and activist Natalie Chung Sum Yue. After hearing Natalie share her incredible adventure to Antarctica with Dr. Sylvia Earle, Danielle felt a strong urge to address the urgent threat of climate change. She aims to propose specific recommendations and action measures to encourage both countries and individuals to actively participate in protecting our planet.

In her speech at COP, Danielle used the example of migratory birds to repeatedly call on young people in Hong Kong, China, and around the world to join the environmental protection movement—not only to protect these scarce bird species but also to safeguard the fragile ecosystem on which humanity depends.
